Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY The Senior .NET Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising secure, scalable, and high-performing applications using .NET technologies to support the Bank’s operations and digital financial services. The role involves building backend applications, developing APIs, integrating banking systems, and ensuring application reliability, performance, and security. Experience in banking, fintech, or other financial services institutions is mandatory.

ROLES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and related .NET technologies.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services to support banking applications and digital financial products.
- Integrate applications with core banking systems, payment platforms, and other financial services systems.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and efficient code in line with established development standards.
- Design, manage, and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures.
- Identify and resolve application bugs, performance issues, and production incidents.
- Implement secure coding practices to protect financial transactions and customer data.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure application quality.
- Maintain existing .NET applications and implement approved system enhancements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed applications and APIs.
- Collaborate with relevant technical and business teams to deliver development projects within agreed timelines.
Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development, with strong hands-on experience using .NET technologies.
- Mandatory banking or financial services experience: Previous experience working in a bank, fintech, microfinance bank, payment service bank, or another financial services institution.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET/.NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend applications.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, database design, and query optimisation.
- Experience integrating applications with banking systems, payment platforms, or financial services applications.
- Good understanding of secure coding practices and application troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise-grade .NET applications in a financial services environment.
- Knowledge of modern .NET application architecture and software development best practices.
